Host Leadership Gathering 2019: Creating the Host Leadership Fieldbook

The Host Leadership Gathering of 2019 promises to be the biggest and most inspiring yet. We invite everybody interesting in developing the practical ideas and concepts of leading as a host to meet in southern Germany to learn together, share our practices and extend host leadership by producing the first Host Leadership Fieldbook.
These events will be vital for leaders, agile consultants, coaches, facilitators and team leaders who want to lead with engagement to enhance performance and results for their organisations and communities. You can not only learn about the latest ideas and developments, you can also contribute your ideas and get them published!

The programme will run like this:
Thursday 27 June 2019: Host Leadership workshop with Pierluigi Pugliese.
A full day workshop which will appeal both to newcomers to host leadership, as well as more experienced professional who would like to build your understanding. We hope that Host author Mark McKergow will be around to join in and work with us.
Key content of the workshop:

• How can you lead by stepping back, as well as stepping forward?
• A new yet ancient leadership metaphor – leading as a host
• Six roles and four positions for a host leader
• Inviting as a host
• Creating spaces
• Putting it all together to address real-life leadership challenges

The event will run from 09:00 to 17:00.

Friday 28 June 2019: Host Leadership conference
This will feature a full day of keynotes, workshops and practical sessions to expand everyone’s understanding of host leadership in practice. We invite workshop session proposals for 60 or 90 minutes, and ideas for shorter 20 minutes talks. Some of the world’s most experienced host leadership practitioners will be sharing their best work and their new ideas. Presenters lined up so far include Mark McKergow (UK), Pierluigi Pugliese (Germany/Italy), Rolf Katzenberger (Germany), and Leah Davcheva (Bulgaria).

Saturday 29 June 2019: Open Space for Host Leadership Fieldbook
A full day open Space allowing focussing on discussing and devising working methods, processes, sharing case examples, creating connections with other approaches to find more professional ways to lead as a host. Session content will be used to create the first ever Host Leadership Fieldbook which will be published by Solutions Books as soon as possible after the event in both paper and e-book formats.
The Open Space will be facilitated by Cecilia Maria Zannini.
The event will run from 09:00 to 16:30.
